Step 5. Test thermostats (1) opening temperature.
Remove, test, and install thermostats (1) (page 2-236).
Step 6. Flush cooling system.
a. Flush the cooling system to remove corrosion or dirt from radiator (2), hoses
(3), engine, (4) and water pump (5) (TM 750-254).
b. Close hood panels (6) (page 2-7).
c. If cooling system still leaks or overheats during normal operation, notify Direct
Support Maintenance.
