Tandem Trunk, Idle-Line Termination.
a . P u r p o s e . The purpose of this test is to verify that the
trunk applies 600-ohm idle-line termination when idle.
b . Test Equipment and Materials. The following equipment is
required for this test.
(1) Signal Generator, Hewlett-Packard 200CD.
( 2 ) A C V o l t m e t e r , Hewlett-Packard 403B.
(3) Dummy plugs, three-wire, ADC Products (or equivalent).
(4) Clip leads.
Test Connections and Conditions
If the equipment must be
kept in continuous operation, perform this test during periods of
light traffic.
Note:
Do not test busy circuits.
